The Quality Technician Lead provides direction and support to the Quality team. Drives compliance with standard operating procedures and policies, such as Safety, Quality, GMP, and CPS. Roles and Responsibilities: Champions a safety culture, ensures a safe work environment, and promotes safe behavior. • Monitors environment and becomes aware of conditions that may affect employee safety and security; takes corrective action. • Communicates to ensure employees learn and comply with specifications, blueprints, job orders, and company policies. • Prepares training plans and conducts or assigns safety, maintenance, machine operation and quality assurance training to new employees. • Prepares documentation and provides performance feedback to introductory employees. • Provides feedback to plant leaders concerning employee performance and behavior. • Ensures employees have required tools, supplies and area to exercise their duties. • Develops and implements quality related training programs for all employees. • Applies statistical tools and techniques to monitor plant performance and finished goods. • Performs in-process inspections of manufactured product during molding, packaging and loading. • Communicates quality issues and out of specifications conditions to plant leaders. • Completes laboratory testing and collects samples at established intervals. Other duties and roles maybe assigned by plant management Reasonable mandatory overtime may be required due to business needs.
