About The Position

Your Role: This position is responsible for building and managing a lab workflow for spatial Multiomics and NGS applications while closely working and training with early collaborators and early access customers. The position responsibility includes data generation, data analysis using available R&D tools and perform data interpretation. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Build and maintain application lab for spatial Multiomics workflows including newly developed platforms and reference data generation at the Waltham site. Perform customer experiments using developed applications and closely work with R&D teams. Perform data analysis using available R&D and commercial tools and do the data interpretation. Must be able to travel to other Miltenyi sites and customers both domestically and internationally. Provide input to improve current procedures, protocols, and/or methods and documents results accordingly. Perform duties independently, requiring action and judgment to solve commonly encountered problems. Provide training to collaborators and early access customers on existing Miltenyi lab workflows. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Ph.D. in immunology, immune-oncology, or related fields; 2+ years of relevant industry experience.
  • Strong experience with imaging and molecular biology techniques, such as fluorescent microscopy and DNA/RNA analysis methods are essential.
  • Additionally, experience in biological sample preparation for imaging, such as cryo and/or FFPE preparation, and molecular biology, such as DNA / RNA preparation and analysis.
  • Very good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Proven leadership and successful decision-making qualities.
  • Excellent writing and presentation skills.

  • This job is performed in a temperature-controlled facility without exposure to extreme hot or cold temperatures. Generally, this job is performed in a sanitized laboratory setting and routinely uses standard medical and research equipment such as centrifuges, biosafety cabinets, microscopes, incubators, pipettes and computers. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to blood, viruses, bacteria, body fluids and other tissues. Employees entering and leaving the laboratory must wear appropriate clothing and protective equipment such as scrubs, coveralls, masks, glasses and gloves. Nice To Haves

  • Hands on experience with high-tech laboratory instruments, especially automated systems is a plus.
  • Excellent understanding of the underlying technical principles of next generation sequencing (NGS) chemistries and workflows, associated instrumentation platforms and data analysis and interpretation algorithms is a plus.
  • Experience with imaging and DNA/RNA data analysis is a plus.
