About The Position

The receiving associate is responsible for physically and systematically processing all deliveries.

Requirements

  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
  • Forklift experience and ability to pass Bitzer certification.
  • Must be able to stand on feet for at least 10 hours/day.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional training in material handling is a plus
  • Previous experience in a receiving or warehouse role, particularly with handling large and heavy materials.
  • Ensure accuracy in receiving and inventory records
  • Effective communication skills for coordinating with team members and suppliers
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues related to shipments and inventory
  • Capability to handle physically demanding tasks, including lifting and moving heavy material
  • Detailed oriented with the ability to perform multiple tasks in fast moving environment.
  • Ability to follow oral and/or written instruction.
  • Team orientated and self-motivated.
  • Basic Math knowledge.
  • Ability to read a tape measure and calipers.
  • Strong organizational skills, proficiency in inventory management software, and the ability to operate material handling equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Receive and Inspect Shipments: Oversee the receipt and inspection of incoming shipments to ensure they match purchase orders and are in good condition.
  • Inventory: Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure proper storage of materials in designated indoor and outdoor areas. Participate in yearly Physical Inventory.
  • Material Handling: Safely handle and move large, heavy pipes and plates using appropriate equipment such as forklifts and cranes.
  • Documentation: Ensure all receiving documentation is completed accurately and promptly, including updating inventory systems.
  • Safety compliance: Enforce safety regulations and conduct regular safety inspections to prevent accidents and injuries.
