WAREHOUSE RECEIVING SPECIALIST - NO NIGHTS OR WEEKENDS! NuCara Home Medical, formerly Hammer Medical Supply is seeking a full-time Receiving Specialist for our Des Moines location. Who We Are NuCara Home Medical is Central Iowa's leading independent provider of Home Respiratory and Home Medical Equipment. What We Do What we do matters, and our Receiving Specialist plays an important role in allowing us to provide top quality patient care. As aReceiving Specialist, you will be responsible for the following tasks: Receive incoming merchandise according to company policies & procedures Stock sales floor and warehouse Serialize durable medical equipment according to company policies & procedures Communicate with vendors regarding shipping errors and backorders Distribute merchandise to customer service and branch locations Assist in loading and unloading delivery vehicles as necessary Review invoices for pricing discrepancies and approve for payment Maintain warehouse in a clean, safe and organized manor Use forklift to maneuver, load, unload and stack pallets Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor Our standard hours of operation are Monday - Friday from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM. Who Should Apply Prior experience in a related field is preferred for this position, but not required - we are willing to train the right person. This position does require the ability to lift, position and maneuver heavy loads from 50 to 150 lbs. and does require frequent squatting, bending and twisting. Candidates must be able to follow directions, be detail-oriented, and have basic competencies using a smartphone, iPad and desktop computer. Daily operation of a forklift is required. Occasional driving a company van is required. Familiarity with medical equipment is a plus.
