About The Position

Job Purpose: The receptionist/mail & supply clerk position is responsible for being first operator to answering and directing phone calls in a timely manner and providing clerical services to ensure effective, efficient, and accurate operations and customer service. This position should have extensive knowledge of Ward Laboratories’ tests and how they relate to the customers mission. This position is also responsible for sending customer supplies and mail before the stated deadline, while also working with the office staff to file and organize office areas and paperwork Essential Job Results: Operational Responsibilities · Primary Operator in answering and directing all in coming phone calls. · Provide knowledgeable and courteous customer service. · Communicating with customers via phone, email, mail or in person. · Reviews and corrects new customer’s accounts so that they receive all sample data and invoices. · Enter credit card payments. · Work as a team player and proactively communicate effectively with employees at all levels of the company. · Provide clerical and receptionist support to provide effective and efficient office operations. · Daily completion of all customer supply requests before UPS and USPS deadlines · Work safely at all times, always observing company safety rules and promote safe work practices throughout the company facility. Report unsafe practices or conditions to the Safety Director promptly. · Perform all other duties deemed appropriate by the position’s supervisor. External Relationship Responsibilities · Communicate effectively with customers, vendors, and outside professionals in person, on the phone, or via electronic media · Ensures that Ward Laboratories maintains collaborative working relationships with partner agencies and stakeholders. · Ensure that all customer inquiries are answered knowledgeably and with good customer service techniques. Requirements

  • High School Diploma required.
  • Experience and knowledge in a farm and/or ranching related environment
  • Knowledge and skill with basic computing in a Microsoft environment; past experience in use of accounting and financial software a plus.
  • Must be able to sit at their work station and work on the computer for long periods of time in an office environment.
