About The Position

The Recruiting Associate supports the full-cycle recruiting process for recruiting staff by managing the administrative, compliance, and onboarding coordination for company car haulers, diesel technicians, fleet drivers and independent contractors, applying and the ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast paced, high-volume recruiting environment. This position requires strong attention to details, a sense of urgency, and the ability to communicate professionally with recruiting staff, third party vendors, other businesses, and employee applicants in a fast-paced car haul environment. Strong candidates for this role should have a strong work ethic with the ability to multi-task and look for opportunities to assist the Recruiters in a variety of administrative tasks including speaking directly with candidates to secure information and collect documentation. onboarding with United Road.

  • Knowledge of clerical processes
  • Strong oral, electronic, and verbal communication skills
  • 1-3 years of administrative, recruiting coordination, customer service or onboarding support experience

  • Ability to learn various web-based software programs

Responsibilities

  • Screen and qualify applicants from job boards and other leads into our ATS (Tenstreet)
  • Support DOT-related processes such as employment verifications and background checks
  • Manage a highly organized system of clerical support to various needs of recruiting staff
  • Maintain consistent updates and notes on candidate profiles
  • Respond to company messages in the ATS system
  • Answer basic company information questions and help field phone calls to Recruiters
  • Schedule qualified candidates for pre-screening phone interviews with Recruiters
  • Contact Fleet Owner and Independent Contractor leads to source fit for joining United Road and send out full application information
  • Assist Recruiters by sending out digital onboarding paperwork and reporting completeness
  • Schedule drug tests and medical examinations for candidates
  • Schedule and manage Orientation travel and send out new hire information documentation and key contact information
  • Schedule onboarding installation with URS shops to ensure seamless entry to productivity
  • Collect, obtain and ensure accurate documents needed to issue new contracts
  • Manage and issue Adverse Action notifications through ATS (Tenstreet)
  • Ensure proper documentation of all candidates that do not onboard is marked in ATS (Tenstreet) for accurate reporting metrics
  • Identify process gaps and provide feedback to improve recruiting efficiency and candidate experience
  • Support recruiting initiatives and special projects as needed
  • Coordinate digital company orientation and completion for Fleet Driver and Independent Contractors
