Every hire here has an immediate and visible impact. We’re looking for a Recruiting Coordinator to be the operational backbone of Avoca’s hiring engine. This role is critical to delivering a best-in-class candidate experience while keeping our recruiting process fast, organized, and scalable. You’ll work closely with recruiters, hiring managers, and candidates to ensure interviews run smoothly, communication is tight, and nothing slips through the cracks. This is a great role for someone who loves details, thrives in a high-energy environment, and wants to grow deeper into recruiting or People Ops over time.

Requirements

  • 2–4+ years of experience in People Operations, Recruiting Coordination, or HR Generalist roles
  • Experience supporting recruiting processes and scheduling in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Clear, professional communicator who is comfortable working with candidates
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and shifting timelines
  • High degree of discretion when handling sensitive information
  • Self-motivated, entrepreneurial, and comfortable operating in fast-moving, high-growth environments.
  • Thrives on owning processes end-to-end and balancing multiple initiatives simultaneously.
  • Autonomous, self-directed, and comfortable working with ambiguity.
  • A proactive and effective communicator.
  • You are collaborative, organized, and efficient.
  • Eager to work in person at our NYC office full time.

  • Experience with HRIS, ATS tools (Ashby), or high-growth startups

Responsibilities

  • Own end-to-end interview coordination across multiple roles and teams
  • Schedule complex interview loops (onsites, panels, virtual screens) across time zones
  • Act as the primary point of contact for candidates throughout the interview process
  • Deliver a polished, thoughtful, and human candidate experience
  • Maintain clean, accurate data in our ATS (Ashby)
  • Support recruiters with pipeline management, reporting, and follow-ups
  • Coordinate offer logistics and support closing processes
  • Partner with hiring managers to keep interviews running on time and on plan
  • Continuously improve recruiting workflows, templates, and coordination systems
