About The Position

AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. We support all AWS data centers and the servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment that ensure customers have continual access to innovation. We are seeking an experienced Recruiting Manager to lead high-volume hiring efforts for our rapidly expanding data center operations. As a Recruiting Manager within AIS, you will own end-to-end recruiting strategy and execution for data center roles across multiple locations. You will build and lead a team of recruiters who deliver exceptional candidate experiences while meeting hiring goals. This role requires someone who thrives in a fast-paced, metrics-driven environment and can balance quality with velocity. The ideal candidate combines deep recruiting expertise with strong leadership skills and a passion for building diverse, high-performing teams. You will partner closely with data center operations leaders, HR business partners, and cross-functional stakeholders to understand workforce needs and deliver talent solutions that enable AWS to scale infrastructure globally. About the team AWS Infrastructure Services (AIS) is the backbone of Amazon Web Services (AWS), responsible for designing, building, and operating the global network of data centers that power the AWS Cloud. AIS ensures the secure, reliable, and scalable infrastructure that enables AWS customers worldwide to innovate and grow. The organization encompasses several key business areas: Data Center Engineering (DCE) focuses on innovative facility design and technology deployment; Data Center Planning & Delivery (DCPD) manages strategic expansion, capacity planning, supply chain, and infrastructure deployment; Data Center Operations (DCO) ensures 24/7 availability through proactive monitoring, incident response, and physical security.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of recruiting or HR experience
  • Experience in recruiting or HR
  • Experience building, coaching and managing a recruiting team
  • Experience managing large dispersed recruiting/sourcing teams
  • Experience working with recruiting tools and systems, including resume databases, internet sourcing tools, and spreadsheets
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent

Nice To Haves

  • Experience creating, measuring and scaling workflow among candidates, hiring managers and the recruiting team
  • Experience managing senior staff or staffing managers
  • Experience with workforce planning
  • Experience partnering with hiring teams to build effective sourcing, assessment, and closing approaches with an ability to manage customer/partner expectations

Responsibilities

  • Own recruiting strategy for high-volume data center hiring across multiple job families including Data Center Technicians, Facility Engineers, Operations, and technical specialists
  • Develop and execute innovative strategies to reach hiring targets
  • Partner with managers to understand workforce planning and translate into actionable recruiting plans
  • Drive continuous improvement in recruiting processes, tools, and metrics increasing efficiency and candidate quality
  • Build, lead, and develop a team of recruiters
  • Set clear performance expectations and hold team accountable to hiring goals, quality metrics, and candidate experience
  • Coach recruiters on best practices, stakeholder management, and data-driven decision making
  • Foster a culture of innovation, customer obsession, and operational excellence
  • Conduct regular 1:1s, performance reviews, and career development conversations
  • Serve as trusted advisor to data center leaders on TA strategy and market insights
  • Build strong partnerships with HR, finance, and workforce planning
  • Present recruiting metrics, trends, and recommendations to leadership
  • Influence managers on best practices for interviewing, candidate assessment, and offers
  • Manage cross-functional initiatives related to employee experience and retention
  • Track and report on key metrics
  • Analyze recruiting data to identify trends, bottlenecks, and opportunities for improvement
  • Establish SLA's with managers and consistently meet targets
