Requirements

  • Master's degree in chemical, process, mechanical engineering or similar field
  • Ability to work independently with a high degree of initiative, self-organized, structured and team oriented.
  • Strong leadership ability.
  • Above average communication and integration ability.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

  • Sustaining engineering of the existing product program through self-driven initiation and coordination of optimization measures, continuous further development, identification of cost reduction potential through the preparation of value analyses as well as the coordination of their implementation (VA/VE).
  • Initiation and management of product innovations, including the responsible definition of development specifications for new products and product enhancements, management of project teams within the framework of our PDP process up to the market launch.
  • Responsible technical and applications engineering support of internal and external functions (customers, production, purchasing, controlling, sales and quality control, etc.) for difficult product- and application-related technical issues, including sophisticated, complex damage analyses, e.g. in the case of complaints, independent product assessments and product releases, as well as technical review of product cost calculations.
  • Supporting the market segments in defining product policy and positioning through product-specific expertise, through systematic analysis of the own product range in comparison with strategic competitors (benchmark) and of market trends and new technologies.
