About The Position

This position is for EPES Transport, LLC., a division of Penske Logistics, based
in Greensboro, North Carolina. The primary purpose of the Regional
Manager-Safety Compliance role is to collaborate with operations personnel
to integrate Health, Safety and Security (Logistics Safety Compliance) into
all activities and decision-making processes in assigned areas.

Responsibilities

• Lead initiatives to prevent vehicle incidents and work-related injuries through proactive safety programs and risk assessments.
• Conduct thorough investigations of all vehicle accidents and workplace injuries, identifying root causes and recommending corrective actions.
• Partner with Operations Leaders to ensure adherence to company policies, procedures, and applicable regulatory requirements.
• Communicate safety performance metrics and trends to Operations Leadership, providing actionable recommendations for continuous improvement.
• Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of safety improvement initiatives, focusing on both leading and lagging indicators.
• Interpret and communicate regulatory updates, offering guidance and support to Operations Leadership to maintain compliance.
• Oversee the development and delivery of effective safety training programs tailored to operational needs.
• Manage transportation safety protocols and ensure robust location security measures are in place and maintained.
• Other projects and tasks as assigned.
