About The Position

POSITION SUMMARY The Regional Retail Manager motivates coaches and supports the retail banking division by leading retail teams in designated market areas to provide outstanding customer experience and drive team performance. This role is responsible for training and developing retail employees by implementing consistent processes related to products, customer service, operations, community engagement, sales performance, and professional growth. The Regional Retail Manager plays a critical role in the strategic execution of retail banking initiatives, talent management, and market development. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following: Team Development Cultivate a culture of learning and growth within the retail division through mentoring, coaching, performance measurement, and professional development. Coach Branch Managers to motivate, recognize, and reward team members for consistent and superior customer experience through branch observations and guidance. Lead efforts to attract, retain, and develop high-performing retail banking talent Design and implement reward and recognition programs that align employee behaviors with retail performance objectives Set goals, evaluate performance metrics, and enforce accountability measures that align with strategic retail initiatives Demonstrate leadership by modeling change management, communication, inspiration, and results-driven behaviors Support and mentor Branch Managers in identifying and addressing performance challenges Customer & Community Initiatives Ensure exceptional customer service standards across all branches to exceed customer expectations Promote and support participation in community and service programs to enhance the Bank’s visibility and goodwill Encourage team members to represent the Bank positively through active involvement in local events and organizations Foster long-term client relationships through quality interactions and service delivery Regional Growth & Marketing Develop and assist Branch Manager sales efforts through various sales initiatives, training, incentive, and continuing education. Ensure product offerings are conducive to target markets and encompass a variety of appropriate delivery channels. Work directly with other business line leaders to promote teamwork in an effort to achieve overall Bank goals. Develop, implement, and enhance a regional and individual branch marketing strategy to encompass the full product offerings available. This plan should include at minimum: advertising needs, sales promotions, budgeting and measurement of expensed items and results, and maintaining continuity in marketing brand awareness. Collaborate with Branch Managers to develop and communicate marketing strategies to the retail staff. Strategic Operations Develop, oversee, and enforce operational compliance with all retail related policies and procedures, in accordance with Bank policy and applicable state and federal banking regulations. Coach, mentor, evaluate, and support Branch Managers in identifying target niches to meet their sales objectives. Ensure the delivery of products and services by retail team members is executed in a consistent manner within Bank policies, procedures, and regulatory guidelines. Collaborate with the Retail Management Team to review current processes and procedures, identify inefficiencies, and implement innovative solutions for continuous improvement. Partner with Senior Leadership to communicate marketing initiatives, budget, and customer concerns as well as enhance customer experience and promote a seamless customer transition between business lines. Establish and ensure consistency in unified meeting structure within retail teams including but not limited to: regular huddles, one-on-one coaching, and Branch Manager meetings. Perform all other duties as assigned. ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES Perform other related duties and responsibilities as assigned by management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
  • Minimum of four (4) years of managerial and sales experience in a financial institution required.
