About The Position

The Regional Sales Manager is responsible for driving sales growth, distribution expansion, and flawless field execution within their assigned region. This role is deeply hands-on—spending the majority of their time in the market building customer relationships, managing distributor performance, and ensuring strong retail execution. The Regional Sales Manager bridges strategic direction with day-to-day market activation. They work closely with distributors, regional retailers, and the field team to deliver results that strengthen the Generous Brands portfolio, improve efficiency, and expand market reach. This role balances short-term execution with long-term growth—ensuring that regional sales plans are executed with excellence while maintaining a clear line of sight to the broader sales and distribution strategy.

Requirements

  • Detail-oriented project owner, with strong attention-to-detail anda highworkload capacity.
  • Passionate Sales Executive with classic “best-in-class & quality mentality” sales and sales management training andtrack recordof success at a reputable beverage manufacturer.
  • Ability to develop an analytical sales system, sales planningtoolsand sales management tools from scratch to a national level.
  • Demonstrated success building a brand orbrandsin a high growth category.
  • Proven success workinghand-in-handwith Marketing to drive sustainable brand growth.
  • Strong communicationskills, entrepreneurial workethic, integrity,initiativeand “can-do” attitude.
  • Must be located in Southern California.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ sales leadership experience, leading teams of sales associates in understanding the grocery, natural/specialty for naturally distributed branded products.
  • Minimum of 3 years working with large scale beverage DSD network.
  • Minimumbachelor’s degree in business or related field.
  • Must have valid CA driver’s license
  • Must be willing to travel 50% of the time in specified region, and work weekends at trade shows as needed.
  • Willing and able to complete a background check and drug screening.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in refrigerated products.
  • Experience partnering with distributor personnel at multiple levels to include Sales Rep, District Manager level, and branch leadership.
  • Success and experience withnewDSD launch is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Sales Execution & Growth:Drive sales performance across key distributors and regional accounts to achieve volume, revenue, and distribution goals.
  • Distributor Management:Lead daily and weekly engagement with distributor partners (Tier 2 distributors) to ensure service levels, product availability, and executional excellence in-store.
  • Retail Execution:Oversee regional retail activation, ensuring displays, pricing, and promotions are executed according to plan, driving visibility and sell-through.
  • Team Leadership:Coach and develop field sales representatives and district managers to enhance their effectiveness and alignment with company goals.
  • Regional Strategy Execution:Translate the Director of Sales’ strategic vision into actionable, region-specific plans with measurable results.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration:Partner with marketing, operations, and finance teams to ensure regional alignment on priorities and consistent brand representation.
  • Field Presence:Spend approximately 20% of time actively in-store—building relationships, supporting the team, and driving execution.
