About The Position

Eden Autism is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide care for children (ages 11 to 21) with autism as they attend our Extended School Year summer camp program! This position runs from the end of June through mid-August. We run a residential (sleep-away camp) program in Port Murray NJ. Our campers have staff supervision 24 hours, 7 days a week. Our RNs work in shifts, from 7am-3pm and 3pm-9pm. This position pays $45-60 per hour, commensurate with experience.

Requirements

• Must possess NJ Registered Nurse license
• Minimum of two years of nursing experience
• Experience working with individuals with autism or developmental disabilities
• CPR/AED certified

Responsibilities

• Physical assessment of every student to determine wellness.
• Care for sick and injured pupils and staff and arrange for appropriate course of action.
• Maintain appropriate first aid supplies.
• Administer medication/treatment when necessary, according to district boards of education policy and doctors’ orders.
