This role provides leadership support across behavioral health units and acts as the administrative representative when senior leadership is not onsite. Our hospital serves child (5–17), adult, geriatric, and forensic behavioral health populations . Requirements

  • Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) – Required
  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license – Massachusetts
  • BLS (CPR) – Required upon hire
  • Behavioral Health or Psychiatric Nursing experience preferred
  • Leadership or charge nurse experience strongly preferred
  • Strong communication, conflict resolution, and de-escalation skills

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) – Preferred
  • CPI / Handle With Care – Preferred
  • ACLS – Preferred

Responsibilities

  • Oversee nursing and hospital operations during assigned shifts
  • Ensure appropriate staffing and patient coverage across units
  • Provide leadership, guidance, and clinical support to nursing staff
  • Respond to patient care needs and assist with admissions or intake when needed
  • Support staff development, coaching, and performance management
  • Maintain compliance with regulatory standards (TJC, CMS, state regulations)
  • Assist with scheduling, attendance monitoring, and payroll coordination
  • Perform direct patient care duties as needed
