About The Position

We are seeking a RN House Supervisor , sometimes referred to as a Hospital House Supervisor or Clinical House Supervisor. The RN House Supervisor will ensur e smooth, safe, and efficient clinical operations across the entire hospital. Th e RN Supervisor i s the administrative representative of hospital leadership when management is off-site. The RN House Supervisor will ensure that staffing, patient care, crisis response, and interdepartmental coordination are handled without interruption. This position is on a per diem basis, meaning PD/PRN as needed. Requirements

• Current and valid license as a Registered Nurse.
• Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• ACLS certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current.
• One (1) year prior experience as a Supervisor preferred.
• Minimum of three (3) years acute care nursing experience

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
• If you have experience in the Intensive Care Unit ( ICU ) , Emergency Room (ER), Emergency Department ( ED ) , Charge Nurse or Leadership experience in a hospital (Acute Care) setting you are encouraged to apply!

Responsibilities

• May directly intervene in emergency situations, including patient codes, Rapid Response activations, or behavioral escalations
• Monitors patient flow: supervise bed availability and coordinates admissions, discharges, and inter-unit transfers
• Work closely with the emergency department (ED), intensive care units (ICU), med-surg floors, and ancillary departments (lab, imaging, pharmacy) to avoid bottlenecks
• Manage staffing by evaluating unit needs based on census, patient acuity, and absences; reallocates existing staff and coordinates float pool, per diem, or agency support
• Prepare comprehensive shift reports and documents critical incidents—including patient complaints, staff conflicts, injuries, and safety concerns
