About The Position

Augustine Angels is preparing to support a U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Occupational Health Unit in Louisville, KY and is seeking a highly qualified Registered Nurse (RN) with occupational health and acute care experience to join our team upon contract award . This role is ideal for a seasoned RN seeking predictable weekday hours , a structured clinical environment , and long-term stability within a federal healthcare setting. The RN will provide occupational health services to federal employees in an on-site clinic, working under the technical direction of the Government’s Occupational Health Nurse Manager. This position is being recruited in anticipation of contract award . Employment and start date are contingent upon contract award confirmation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) – required
  • Active, unrestricted Kentucky RN license
  • Minimum 5 years of RN experience in ER, Critical Care, Urgent Care, or Ambulatory Care
  • Minimum 2 years of Occupational Health Clinic experience
  • Current AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • BLS Instructor certification (or ability to obtain within first 6 months)
  • Ability to pass a federal background investigation
  • Willingness to complete required federal training (AT Level I, security awareness, privacy training)
  • Comfortable working under federal policies, documentation standards, and confidentiality requirements

Responsibilities

  • Triage and treat employee injuries and illnesses per established medical protocols
  • Conduct wellness and medical surveillance examinations
  • Perform diagnostic testing (EKGs, vision/hearing exams, phlebotomy, glucose testing, urine dip tests, strep screens, etc.)
  • Administer vaccinations, OTC medications, and allergy injections
  • Provide health education, wellness consultations, and preventative care counseling
  • Maintain accurate, confidential medical records in compliance with federal requirements
  • Respond to workplace exposures and coordinate appropriate follow-up care
  • Collaborate closely with the government nurse and physician to ensure high-quality patient care
