About The Position

Augustine Angels is preparing to support a U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Occupational Health Unit in Louisville, KY and is seeking a highly qualified Registered Nurse (RN) with occupational health and acute care experience to join our team upon contract award. This role is ideal for a seasoned RN seeking predictable weekday hours, a structured clinical environment, and long-term stability within a federal healthcare setting. The RN will provide occupational health services to federal employees in an on-site clinic, working under the technical direction of the Government’s Occupational Health Nurse Manager. PRN / As-Needed schedule Typical hours: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM, Monday–Friday No nights, weekends, or federal holidays Augustine Angels is an experienced federal services provider supporting government healthcare and professional staffing programs nationwide. We understand federal onboarding, credentialing, and compliance requirements and ensure our clinicians are fully prepared before Day One. This position is being recruited in anticipation of contract award. Employment and start date are contingent upon contract award confirmation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) – required
  • Active, unrestricted Kentucky RN license
  • Minimum 5 years of RN experience in ER, Critical Care, Urgent Care, or Ambulatory Care
  • Minimum 2 years of Occupational Health Clinic experience
  • Current AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • BLS Instructor certification (or ability to obtain within first 6 months)
  • Ability to pass a federal background investigation
  • Willingness to complete required federal training (AT Level I, security awareness, privacy training)
  • Comfortable working under federal policies, documentation standards, and confidentiality requirements

Responsibilities

  • Triage and treat employee injuries and illnesses per established medical protocols
  • Conduct wellness and medical surveillance examinations
  • Perform diagnostic testing (EKGs, vision/hearing exams, phlebotomy, glucose testing, urine dip tests, strep screens, etc.)
  • Administer vaccinations, OTC medications, and allergy injections
  • Provide health education, wellness consultations, and preventative care counseling
  • Maintain accurate, confidential medical records in compliance with federal requirements
  • Respond to workplace exposures and coordinate appropriate follow-up care
  • Collaborate closely with the government nurse and physician to ensure high-quality patient care
