About The Position

"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) – Medical/Surgical (Med/Surg) to provide high-quality patient care in a hospital setting. The RN will be responsible for delivering comprehensive nursing care to patients, including pre-operative and post-operative support. This role requires strong clinical judgment, excellent patient care skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced acute care environment while collaborating with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure the best possible patient outcomes.

Requirements

Associate’s Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited nursing program – Required
Active New York State Registered Nurse (RN) License – Required
AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) – Required
Minimum 2 years of Medical/Surgical nursing experience in a large acute care hospital
Recent experience within the last 12 months preferred
Comprehensive patient assessment
Medication administration
Wound care and infection prevention
IV therapy and infusion management
Post-operative patient care
Patient education and discharge planning
Telemetry monitoring

Nice To Haves

AHA Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) – Preferred/Required for certain facilities
Experience using EPIC Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system

Responsibilities

Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans
Provide direct bedside nursing care for pre-operative and post-operative patients
Administer and document prescribed medications safely and accurately
Perform wound care, dressing changes, and infection control procedures
Insert urinary catheters, initiate IV therapy, and monitor IV medications
Monitor vital signs and respond promptly to changes in patient condition
Operate and monitor specialized medical equipment as needed
Educate patients and families on procedures, treatment plans, and post-discharge care
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for patient care coordination and discharge planning
Maintain accurate documentation in electronic health records (EHR)
Follow established nursing protocols, safety guidelines, and healthcare regulations
