About The Position
Northeast Indiana Veterinary Emergency & Specialty Hospital (NIVES) is seeking a Registered Veterinary Technician to join our ICU 2nd shift team working a rotating schedule 11AM-11PM/1PM-11PM. This is an exciting opportunity to work with critically ill patients in a fast-paced emergency and specialty hospital.
Requirements
- Credentialed Veterinary Technician (RVT, CVT, LVT)
- Strong skills, compassion, and reliability
Nice To Haves
- Emergency/ICU experience preferred, not required
Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care and monitoring for ICU patients
- Assist veterinarians with emergency cases and procedures
- Perform technical skills: venipuncture, catheter placement, lab testing, medication administration, anesthesia monitoring
- Communicate with clients and collaborate with your team
