About The Position

About the Role: Grade Level (for internal use): 11 The Account Manager serves as a trusted advisor to clients within the Academic sector. This role is responsible for managing and expanding relationships with existing clients, identifying new business opportunities, and delivering tailored solutions leveraging S&P data, analytics, and workflow tools. The Team: The Account Management team is dedicated to building, growing, and managing strategic relationships with clients across the Academic space. Our Account Managers leverage internal and external relationships, industry expertise, and a client-centric approach to drive engagement, maximize value, and support their evolving needs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 5 years of experience in sales and/or relationship management roles
  • Strong Excel and Salesforce.com skills
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with executive presence
  • Willingness to travel for client visits

  • Familiarity with market data, analytics, or financial intelligence platforms
  • Demonstrated track record of driving renewals, upsells, and cross-sell initiatives

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers at client organizations.
  • Understand client business needs and provide consultative guidance on the Market Intelligence suite of solutions.
  • Drive revenue growth through renewals, upsell, and cross-sell opportunities.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (product, marketing, customer support) to ensure client satisfaction and successful onboarding.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, regulatory changes, and competitive landscape to provide actionable insights.
  • Deliver product demonstrations, training, and presentations to clients.
