SUMMARY: WE ARE SEEKING A MID-LEVEL POWER BI & SQL DATA ANALYST TO SUPPORT AND ENHANCE OUR BUSINESS INTELLIGENCE AND REPORTING CAPABILITIES. THIS ROLE IS IDEAL FOR A PROFESSIONAL WITH STRONG HANDS-ON EXPERIENCE IN POWER BI AND SQL WHO CAN INDEPENDENTLY DELIVER PRODUCTION-READY REPORTS AND DASHBOARDS WHILE COLLABORATING WITH BUSINESS STAKEHOLDERS AND SENIOR TECHNICAL STAFF.
Requirements
- 4–5 years of experience in a Power BI, Business Intelligence, or SQL-focused data role
- Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Power BI, including data modeling, Power Query, and intermediate DAX
- Solid proficiency in Microsoft SQL Server (T-SQL), including complex queries, stored procedures, and basic performance tuning
- Experience supporting production BI reports and dashboards used by business stakeholders or leadership
- Working knowledge of data warehousing concepts and reporting best practices
- Ability to independently gather reporting requirements and translate them into effective, user-friendly Power BI solutions
- Comfortable troubleshooting data quality, performance, and reporting issues in an existing environment
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain data insights to non-technical users
Nice To Haves
- Experience with SSIS or other ETL and data integration tools
- Familiarity with performance tuning and working with large datasets
- Background in professional services, legal, finance, or regulated industries
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain Power BI reports and dashboards used by operational teams and leadership
- Write, optimize, and maintain T-SQL queries, views, and stored procedures in Microsoft SQL Server and MS Analysis Services.
- Support and enhance existing data models used for reporting and analytics
- Assist with ETL processes (SSIS or similar tools) to load and transform data from source systems
- Work with business stakeholders to gather reporting requirements and translate them into Power BI solutions
- Validate data accuracy and troubleshoot reporting, data quality, or performance issues
- Document reports, datasets, and data flows to support ongoing maintenance and knowledge sharing
- Collaborate with senior team members on larger BI and data initiatives
