About The Position

Our business is growing and we are seeking qualified applicants to fill positions providing research and analytical support to ongoing contracts with various federal and state customers. Ideal candidates will have a strong mathematics background and be highly capable researchers on a wide variety of topics. Experience manipulating and analyzing data and a keen eye for generating effective data visualization and communication products (e.g., graphics, charts, spatial products, etc.) is preferred. Excellent written and oral communication skills are a must. Job Description The primary role of the Research Analyst is to provide wide-ranging support to ongoing projects. Support tasks may include but are not limited to research, statistical analysis, modeling and simulation (i.e., data development, data loading, model execution, and analysis of model output), preparation and presentation of briefings, preparation of technical reports and documentation, and coordination and preparation for meetings. The sensitive nature of the data to which the Analyst may be exposed requires that the candidate be of the highest moral and ethical character. Applicant will be required to pass a robust background investigation and must be able to obtain and maintain a government-sponsored clearance throughout their tenure with Binera.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree, preferably in mathematics, statistics, or other STEM-related fields
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Goal-oriented and self-motivated
• Organized team player who can multi-task, prioritize and manage time effectively

• Creative problem solver who thrives when presented with a challenge
• Proficiency in MS Office, with an emphasis on Excel-based skills (minimum mid-level)
• Ability to pick up new methods quickly and thrive in an independent work environment
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S. and able to obtain and maintain a government-sponsored clearance

Nice To Haves

• Geographic Information Systems (GIS) experience (e.g., ArcGIS, or QGIS – with a basic understanding of toolboxes and tools)
• Proficiency in data handling via R / Python

Responsibilities

• Research and analyze empirical datasets (e.g., clean and merge data from different data sources and generate complete datasets)
• Generate and analyze data to support risk assessments and other decision support products
• Conduct spatial modeling and run simulations
• Participate in the development of innovative solutions and approaches to solve complex problems – our clients present unique challenges that cannot always be addressed through off-the-shelf solutions
• Produce products to effectively communicate results in a manner that can be understood by a range of audiences
