About The Position

Mount Holyoke College seeks a collaborative and creative Research & Instruction Librarian to support teaching, research, and information literacy across the campus community. As part of the Research and Instructional Support team within Library, Information, & Technology Services (LITS), this role partners with faculty and students to strengthen research skills, develop library collections, and contribute to an engaging academic environment.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to work with diverse communities.
  • Commitment to supporting diversity, equity, and inclusion.
  • ALA-accredited MLS/MLIS (or equivalent), or an advanced degree with significant professional library experience.
  • Candidates nearing completion of an MLS/MLIS are encouraged to apply.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in research support, teaching, or libraries preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Teach research and information literacy sessions across disciplines.
  • Provide one-on-one research consultations for students and support for faculty research assignments and projects.
  • Develop and manage subject-based library collections in collaboration with faculty.
  • Offer workshops and co-curricular programming on research, information literacy, and related topics.
  • Participate in outreach, campus programming, and library, college, or consortium committees.
