The Research Foundation for Mental Hygiene is seeking a qualified candidate to fill a full-time Research Scientist II. The Research Scientist must have experience in Stem Cells Research and iPSC differentiation into neurons, CRISPR technology, stem cell-based disease modeling, validation and assessment of cellular phenotypes, integrate splicing-aware transcriptomics, trans atomics, and proteomics in patient-derived neurons, data visualization, reporting, scientific writing, and must have an interest in neurodegenerative diseases. The researcher's daily tasks involve performing experiments like cell culturing and genetic modification, analyzing and documenting data, maintaining detailed lab records, troubleshooting experimental issues, and reading scientific literature to stay current with advances. They will prepare research for publication, present findings at conferences, and manage lab equipment to contribute to understanding stem cell behavior and developing new regenerative therapies.
