About The Position

The Research Senior Technician provides advanced research support for behavioral and neuroimaging studies within the Saygin Lab by independently conducting routine laboratory and field research activities and supporting broader research initiatives. This role coordinates participant recruitment and data collection, conducts behavioral and imaging experiments, processes and analyzes research data, and supports study implementation and regulatory compliance. The Research Senior Technician applies established research methodologies and procedures, works independently on routine assignments, and collaborates with investigators, lab members, and external partners to ensure accurate and efficient study execution. This position may provide guidance and training to undergraduate research assistants and new staff.

Requirements

  • Minimum Education Required Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • Relevant experience as demonstrated by one of the following:
  • No prior experience required with a Bachelor’s degree
  • Two (2) years of relevant experience with an Associate’s degree
  • Four (4) years of relevant experience with a High School diploma
  • Broad knowledge of standard research processes, tools, and methodologies.
  • Ability to independently perform routine research tasks and resolve issues using established procedures.
  • Ability to support data analysis, research documentation, and preparation of reports or manuscripts.
  • Strong organizational, time management, and interpersonal skills.
