LMS Investment Management is seeking a seasoned property management professional to join our team as a Resident Account Manager. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented, financially minded multifamily professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in accuracy, compliance, and strong resident communication. If you are experienced in multifamily operations and enjoy owning the financial side of the resident lifecycle, from rent collection to deposit accounting, we would love to connect with you. Position Overview The Resident Account Manager plays a critical role in the financial health of the community by overseeing rent collection, delinquency management, deposit accounting, renewals, and resident account reconciliation for multiple sites. This position works closely with the Community Manager, Regional Manager, and corporate support teams to ensure accuracy, compliance, and operational excellence.

Requirements

  • Experience in multifamily property management (required)
  • Strong knowledge of rent collections, deposit accounting, and resident ledger management
  • High attention to detail and preference for accuracy-driven work
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Computer proficiency with property management software
  • Self-motivation and ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Responsibilities

  • Implement and manage efficient rent collection processes to ensure timely payments and accurate recordkeeping
  • Proactively manage delinquent accounts in accordance with company policy and legal guidelines
  • Oversee past resident collections and monitor payment plans
  • Manage all aspects of the eviction process, including notice preparation and coordination with legal counsel
  • Execute monthly financial close-out procedures, including account reconciliation and reporting
  • Maintain accurate resident and financial records within property management software
  • Generate renewal proposals for approval and prepare resident renewal communications
  • Perform deposit accounting in a timely and accurate manner
  • Conduct post move-out inspections and document damages
  • Prepare, submit, and track insurance claims related to property damage or liability incidents
  • Prepare and generate financial and operational reports as required
  • Process invoices and financial transactions when applicable to the asset
  • Ensure full compliance with company policies and all local, state, and federal regulations
  • Partner effectively with the Community Manager, Regional Manager, and corporate office support team
  • Communicate professionally with residents, vendors, and internal stakeholders
  • Support overall site operations and perform additional administrative duties as needed
