About The Position

Creating solutions for everything from dining and nutrition to facilities maintenance and rehabilitative services, Sodexo partners with government agencies and military organizations to improve people’s quality of life and make a positive impact. Sodexo Government Services is seeking a Resident District Manager - Food for our DC - VA, region. This position is responsible for successfully coordinating and directing all activities within the assigned geographic area through subordinate managers, supervisors and employees including financial performance, client retention, and employee training and development. Works with each Client and Sodexo Leadership in all matters relating to contract and account operations to establish and maintain a solid and mutually beneficial business relationship that ensures account retention. Develops a business plan and budget for the accounts with the General Managers. Must be a US citizen

  • A strategic-thinking leader who can work in partnership with client vision & expectations while delivering on high quality dining service programs that will achieve high customer and guest satisfaction.
  • Experience managing multiple priorities and large teams, demonstrate professional communication skills, and a passion for exceptional customer service and client relations
  • The ability to prioritize tasks, possess emotional intelligence and foster a culture of inclusion.
  • Minimum Education Requirement - Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experienceMinimum Management Experience – 5 yearsMinimum Functional Experience – 5 years

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary representative of Sodexo for multiple accounts in a designated geographic area.
  • Be responsible for successfully coordinating and directing all activities within the assigned geographic area through subordinate managers, supervisors and employees including financial performance, client retention, and employee training and development.
  • Develop a business plan and budget for the accounts with the General Manager.
  • Have a strong strategic leadership, financial acumen, talent management, and strong communication and project management skills.
  • Demonstrate ability to meet multiple deadlines and manage the workload accordingly.
