The RHD is a key leadership position for Edconic’s pre-college programs and will play a vital role in ensuring the program’s success. This is a live-in position with specific duties and responsibilities which include but are not limited to the list below: Virtuallyassistinplanningperiod prior to move-in, including: Building training modules for in-persontraining. Tracking online staff trainingcompletion. Complete roommate assignments for Program Counselors(PCs). EstablishOn-Call Dutyschedule. Other duties, as assigned. Expected tofacilitateALL campus wide activitiesincludingand not limited to, student orientation, closing ceremoniesand etc. SupervisetheResidentialstaff. Oversee all administrative details including: Residential Check-In and Check-Out Key Inventory Staffevaluations Community Building Facilitate training duringStaffTraining and StudentOrientation. Lead weekly residence life staff meetings foryourteam. Meet with staffwho display behavior concernsandfacilitateconductmeetingsasnecessary. Attend weekly leadership meetings and manage allon-goingdevelopmentfor residencestaff andwill relay pertinent information on these topics to the students in a suitable andtimelymanner. Attend co-curricular events andactivities. Manage student interactionsusing student managementsoftware. Act as a mentor and role model toPCs, students and staff through everyday actions and gooddecision-making. Ensure that all staff and students understand theprogrampolicies and expectations and address violations of the student handbook. ServeOn-Call Duty and Back Up On-Call shifts (see below). Communicate with parents/guardiansregardingstudent needs andconcerns. Mediate conflicts as they arise.
