About The Position

Rising Futures Young Parent Living Program (Formally known as the Teen Parenting Program) is a DCF and DTA funded residential program for teen parents who are pregnant and/or parenting. We provide apartment style living in a staff supported environment. The YPLP offers services including independent living and parenting skill groups, education and job search support, day care and medical referrals, housing search and aftercare support.

Requirements

  • Must be 21 years of age.
  • High School Diploma or above (Bachelors degree preferred).
  • Prior supervisory experience in a residential program or mental health facility required.
  • Residential program or mental health facility experience required.
  • Active Driver’s License.
  • Available to work evenings, holidays, weekend shifts as required.
  • At JRI, you will learn to provide physical interventions and verbal de-escalations to provide the safest therapeutic atmosphere for our students!
  • Background and driving record checks will be performed.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure program safety and compliance with safety and security procedure while on site, and also through rotating on call coverage.
  • Support the professional development of residential counselors through training and supervision.
  • Support all efforts to ensure the safety and well-being of students.
  • Support staff and programming through your knowledge of the policies and procedures of the YPLP's residential department.
