About The Position

The Restaurant Reservations Manager will oversee all reservation activities, ensuring accurate booking management and an exceptional guest experience. This includes managing daily reservations, monitoring the flow of bookings to optimize seating capacity, coordinating VIP reservations, special events, promotions, and guest requests such as dietary requirements. The role also involves maintaining reservation records, tracking reports, reviewing guest communications and feedback, and ensuring timely responses to inquiries, proposals, and confirmations. In addition, the manager will lead and supervise the Reservations & Reception (R&R) team by ensuring proper opening and closing procedures are followed and that staff adhere to company policies and service standards. Responsibilities include training, coaching, and mentoring team members, setting clear expectations, monitoring individual performance, and maintaining a professional, safe, and positive work environment while working closely with restaurant management on operational needs.

Requirements

  • 3 to 4+ years of experience in Restaurant Reservation & Reception and hospitality
  • Arrive at work well groomed and prepared for daily activities
  • Understanding and knowledge of restaurant’s menu and offerings.
  • Proactive in taking reservations, sending proposals & confirmations, and responding to restaurant business related queries
  • Ensuring the maintenance of records, tracking of reports required by the business.
  • Business correspondence/Guest Comments review for follow-up and action.
  • Always well informed on restaurant plans such as events, promotions, bookings, discounts, VIPs, dietary requirements of guests, etc.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
