Requirements

Have prior experience as a server in a steakhouse, fine dining restaurant, or upscale hotel environment.
Possess strong knowledge of premium meats, cooking techniques, wine pairings, and classic steakhouse service standards.
Are skilled in professional wine and beverage service.
Are proficient with POS systems and restaurant technology.
Understand and follow proper food safety and sanitation practices.
Hold valid TABC and Food Handler certifications (or are able to obtain them prior to starting).
Communicate clearly and professionally with guests, coworkers, and leadership.
Demonstrate reliability, punctuality, and a commitment to service excellence.
Bring confidence, polish, and pride to every guest interaction.
Ability to stand and move gracefully throughout the dining room for periods of 4 hours or more.
Ability to lift and carry 15–30 pounds.
Ability to maintain a steady, service-focused pace in a refined dining environment.

Responsibilities

Greet guests promptly and professionally, establishing a warm and polished first impression.
Lead guests through the complete steakhouse dining experience, from menu introductions to final farewell.
Deliver gracious, attentive, and precise food and beverage service with a fine-dining approach.
Demonstrate expert knowledge of steakhouse menus, premium cuts, cooking temperatures, ingredients, accompaniments, wine selections, spirits, and specialty cocktails.
Confidently provide thoughtful recommendations and upsell responsibly to enhance the guest experience.
Accurately take and enter food and beverage orders into the POS system.
Clearly communicate all allergy and dietary restriction information to culinary and leadership teams.
Execute proper pacing and coursing to ensure a seamless dining flow.
Deliver food and beverages with attention to presentation and temperature standards.
Maintain guest satisfaction through attentive table maintenance, beverage replenishment, and anticipatory service.
Perform professional wine service, including presentation, opening, and pouring.
Serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages in compliance with all federal, state, local, and company regulations.
Clear, crumb, and reset tables discreetly and efficiently, requesting assistance when appropriate.
Ensure service stations are meticulously stocked, clean, and organized at all times.
Present checks and process all guest payments accurately and discreetly.
Thank guests sincerely and provide a gracious farewell that reflects the steakhouse brand.
Respond professionally to guest concerns and escalate service issues to Restaurant Management as needed.
Conduct yourself with the highest level of professionalism, understanding that all actions occur within guest view.
Maintain a polished appearance, positive demeanor, and service-driven mindset throughout every shift.
