About The Position

We are seeking a detail-oriented Retail Inventory & Operations Analyst for a 2-4+ month assignment. This person will serve as a critical bridge between our client's inventory management and financial operations. This role is essential for maintaining the integrity of our vendor accounts and ensuring that the ERP data accurately reflects physical inventory movements. You will be responsible for deep-dive financial reconciliations and managing the complex workflows inherent in a high-volume retail environment. This is primarily a remote position; however, candidates must be open to occasional travel for team collaboration or site visits.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is preferred.
  • Direct experience in a corporate retail or high-volume consumer goods environment is non-negotiable. You must understand the nuances of retail-specific supply chain and financial cycles.
  • Proven ability to navigate and manage data within large-scale ERP systems. Mastery of Microsoft Excel for data mining and reporting is required.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret large datasets and identify root causes of inventory or financial inaccuracies.

Responsibilities

  • Inventory & Financial Reconciliation: Manage retail-specific inventory workflows and execute Accounts Payable functions for retail vendors. You will ensure that vendor statements align perfectly with internal records.
  • Dispute Management: Perform comprehensive deep-dives into vendor accounts to identify discrepancies, dispute inaccuracies, and ensure timely, accurate payments.
  • ERP Systems Management: Navigate complex ERP environments (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, or D365) to pull reports, track inventory movements, and maintain financial data integrity.
  • Operational Reporting: Provide regular analysis on retail metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) to maintain business continuity, particularly during Leave of Absence (LOA) periods.
  • Vendor Collaboration: Establish and develop strong relationships with vendors to encourage on-time shipment and resolve logistical or financial issues.
