About The Position

The placement opportunity includes the following departments and positions: Department: Orientation Position: Orientation Duration: 0.5 month Job Description: You will receive orientation to the local community to include housing and transportation, cultural opportunities and includes learning about our company’s customers, culture, business strategies, etc.; the trainee will receive an extensive hands -on orientation including learning the responsibilities of the Reservations, Housekeeping Supervisory, Accounting, Security, Engineering, Concierge and Front Office and an overview of Hilton Clean Stay and Event Ready program. Department: Rooms Division Position: Front Desk Agent Duration: 6 months Job Description: You will learn front desk computer system; check -in and check -out procedures; promote Preferred Guest Program; cashier responsibilities; maintain a house bank and make a deposit and accurate report of receipts daily; group arrivals procedures, guest room assignment and control; walk over procedures; hourly house counts; sell -out controls; room key controls; room up selling techniques; resolve guest concerns. Department: Rooms DivisionPosition: Guest Relations Agent Duration: 2.5 monthsJob Description: You will learn processes for preparing VIP arrivals, assign amenities, process special needs; contact top clients prior to arrival; inspect rooms and suites for VIPs/repeat guests prior to arrival; act as liaison between guest and operating departments; maintain and update hotel guests database; escort arriving VIPs/repeat guests to their room and provide hotel tour upon check in; provide highest standard of service; handle VIP complaints efficiently; coordinate teamwork with other departments. Department: Rooms Division Position: Housekeeping Supervisor Duration: 3 months Job Description: You will learn to inspect guest rooms and public spaces to ensure compliance with all standards; assist in scheduling room, turndown, mini -bar and linen attendants; provide training, coaching and counseling for better performance; learn to supervise performance of all team members; produce schedules for employees in accordance with staffing guides/ productivity requirements; review and adjust staffing daily to ensure optimum staffing levels; review assignments of employees and make adjustments; manage administrative functions in accordance with established standards; evaluate, coach, counsel and provide leadership support.

Requirements

  • You are enrolled in a post secondary ministerially recognized academic institution in the hospitality industry OR have a hospitality degree and at least 1 year of recent relevant work experience in the (ultra) luxury hotel industry (outside of the USA) OR have 5 years recent relevant work experience in the (ultra) luxury hotel industry (outside the USA)
