The services we provide range from Aerial/Underground Construction to Fiber Optic Splicing. We are currently seeking skilled and motivated individuals for full-time employment as a Safety Assistant. The candidate should have a strong work ethic, strong attention to detail, and want to become a long-term member of the GoNetSpeed team.

Requirements

  • Safety Training/Trainer experience.
  • Working knowledge of DOT/Work Zone set-ups/Ladder training/PPE/Driver training/underground work
  • Previous experience in conducting field inspections of fire exits, extinguishers, forklifts, and Grounds Inspections.
  • Possess a valid Driver’s License and a clean driving record.
  • Pass a pre-employment background check and drug screening.

Nice To Haves

  • Safety Training/Trainer: 2 years (Preferred)
  • Safety Inspection: 2 years (Preferred)
  • DOT/Work Zone set-ups: 2 years (Preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Perform a minimum of 15 field observations weekly.
  • Maintain physical records of field observations.
  • Attend and participate in the Monthly Safety Committee Meeting.
  • Willing to travel out of state as needed between Monday thru Friday (this position will require a monthly visit to Vermont)
  • Perform New Hire Orientations and E-Safety Training.
  • Maintain records of New Hire Safety training.
  • Report weekly (Friday) to Department managers and Directors, field observations.
  • Perform 5-10 observations weekly on sub-contractors.
  • Distribute and maintain PPE at the offices. (As well as monitoring usage).
  • Weekly, Monday morning zoom meeting for brainstorming safety issues with Safety Department.
  • Monthly Exit, Extinguisher, forklift, and grounds inspections.
  • Maintain records of Fork truck inspections/ ladder inspections/ warehouse inspections.
