Serving more than 10,000 Georgians, River Edge continues to be one of the state's leading resources for mental health, substance use disorder treatments and supports as well as individuals with intellectual and development disabilities. River Edge offers outpatient services at our Emery Highway-Macon, Monroe County and Baldwin County locations. Outpatient services include behavioral health, nursing, and psychiatric assessment, stabilization and medication maintenance services as well as crisis intervention services as well as awareness, education and recovery groups. The Crisis Service and Diagnostic Center is a program designed to offer individual tailored assistance and brief (up to 90-day) stabilization for a maximum of sixteen (16) adults aged 18 and above, who have intellectual or developmental disabilities and/or concurrent IDD/BH diagnoses. These individuals are facing psychiatric challenges and/or significant emotional/behavioral changes that are impacting on their essential functions, potentially jeopardizing their ability to stay in their usual home environment. CSDC Safety Officers are responsible for ensuring the safety and security of the premises, staff, and individuals receiving services. This includes patrolling the facility, monitoring surveillance systems, conducting building inspections, securing entry points, responding to codes to assist in de-escalating crisis situations, and verifying all visitors.
