About The Position

The Sales Manager leads a high-performing sales team and is responsible for setting sales targets, developing strategies to achieve them, and driving revenue growth. This role involves recruiting, training, and managing the sales team while fostering a results-driven culture. The Sales Manager collaborates with cross-functional teams to align sales efforts with company objectives, monitors market trends, and ensures compliance with industry regulations. Additionally, the Sales Manager oversees the development of new business opportunities, supports product knowledge training, and ensures overall sales performance meets organizational goals.

Requirements

  • Must possess a valid Driver's License.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Knowledge of MS Office Suite for reporting, communication, and analytics.
  • Strong understanding of cannabis products, regulations, and market dynamics.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to travel as needed for client meetings, events, and industry engagements.
  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field preferred.
  • Must have experience managing a sales team of at least 3 direct reports.
  • 3+ years of proven experience in sales management.

Responsibilities

  • Train the sales team on product features, benefits, and compliance requirements.
  • Conduct regular product knowledge sessions to keep the team updated on industry trends.
  • Monitor and analyze sales performance metrics to track progress against goals.
  • Prepare regular reports for senior management, highlighting key performance indicators.
  • Identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Collaborate with the finance department to develop and manage the sales budget.
  • Ensure that sales activities are aligned with budgetary constraints and financial goals.
  • Stay informed about cannabis regulations and ensure that the sales team operates in compliance with all applicable laws.
  • Collaborate with legal and regulatory affairs to address compliance issues and updates.
  • Represent the company at industry trade shows, conferences, and events.
  • Coordinate the participation of the sales team in relevant events to generate leads and build brand awareness.
