About The Position

The Sales Manager will be responsible for leading, managing, and driving performance across a network of independent manufacturer’s representative agencies. This role is focused on execution, accountability, and growth, ensuring rep agencies consistently deliver against sales targets, properly follow up on leads, uncover new opportunities, and operate in alignment with the company’s strategic direction. This individual will serve as the day‑to‑day point of leadership for the rep network, translating sales strategy into disciplined action while maintaining strong visibility through accurate reporting and regular communication.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and support a defined network of manufacturer’s representative agencies.
  • Hold reps accountable to sales targets, activity expectations, and growth objectives.
  • Establish clear expectations for call activity, opportunity development, follow‑up, and pipeline management.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews with rep principals and salespeople.
  • Address underperformance with corrective action plans and coaching.
  • Drive organic growth by ensuring reps are actively identifying and developing new opportunities.
  • Ensure timely and consistent follow‑up on inbound leads, house accounts, and strategic initiatives.
  • Partner with reps to expand share of wallet within existing customers.
  • Support major customer calls, joint sales visits, and key account development as needed.
  • Execute sales strategies, programs, and initiatives developed by sales leadership.
  • Ensure reps understand and properly implement pricing strategies, product focus areas, and growth priorities.
  • Monitor field execution to ensure consistency across territories.
  • Collect, review, and analyze sales reports, pipelines, forecasts, and activity metrics from rep agencies.
  • Ensure accurate and timely reporting in CRM and internal systems.
  • Provide regular updates on rep performance, market conditions, competitive activity, and growth opportunities.
  • Identify gaps in coverage, customer penetration, or territory performance.
  • Work with leadership to uncover new market opportunities and expansion areas.
  • Provide feedback from the field to support product, marketing, and strategic decisions.
  • Serve as the primary contact for rep agencies on daily sales issues and support needs.
  • Assist with quoting, escalations, problem resolution, and customer concerns.
  • Coordinate internally with operations, customer service, and leadership to ensure smooth execution
