About The Position

Description Description: Responsible for managing the process of acquiring, receiving, organizing, and distributing samples for various purposes, such as product development, testing, or research. Essential Functions: Receive and label samples with unique receiving numbers given by laboratory software or LIMS. Dispense samples to laboratory scientists as per their work schedule and storage samples according to sample storage requirements. Handle, track sample inventory and dispose control substances following strict protocols. Assist DEA personnel for end of the year control of substance inventory. Send samples to Contract lab or other facility for testing, monitor the status and follow up for the test data. Prepare the purchase orders in Company's Business Spend Management Platform (Coupa) and track contract lab expenses. Maintain the sample room as per cGMP requirements. Additional Responsibilities: Performs other functions as required or assigned. Complies with all company policies and standards. Support the team during internal and external audits.

Requirements

  • Associate Degree Chemistry or related technical field - Required
  • less than one year in Laboratory experience or laboratory related set up experience
  • Must be computer literate. - Advanced
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must be able to maintain clear and concise laboratory records. - Intermediate
  • High degree of accuracy, must be precise and consistent in day-to-day analysis - Intermediate
  • Quick leaner, proactive, able to understand analytical procedures, operate lab equipment, and learn new scientific techniques within a short period of time. - Intermediate
  • Must be a team player and able to adapt to changing assignments - Intermediate
  • Must maintain a safe working environment, follow safety procedures, and practices identified in appropriate SDS - Intermediate
  • Must follow applicable state and federal regulations. - Intermediate
  • Must be willing to work extended hours, including weekends, as and when required. - Intermediate
