About The Position

The hours for this position is evening/overnight. As a Sanitation team member, this person is responsible for properly cleaning and sanitizing the facility of a cold and wet environment. Ensure maximum efficiency while maintaining the highest standards of legislative, compliance, and meeting company specifications. Provides direction, training, and motivation to team members, using recognition, constructive feedback, and other rewards with appropriate discretion in a continuous improvement environment. Follows all health and safety standards and enforces the use of PPEs. Ensures the use of machinery, chemicals, and tools are used in accordance with company policies and are properly documented.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent education.
  • Tolerance to and/or previous work experience in cold environments. (38 – 40 degrees)
  • Bilingual English / Spanish is helpful but not required.
  • Able to work nights and weekends on a regular basis.
  • Able to have a flexible schedule.
  • Self-starter and able to work well in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities.
  • The ability to work with water in a wet and cold building.
  • Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with employees at all levels of the organization.
  • Knowledge of common safety requirements and expectations.
  • Demonstrated ability to be a team player.
  • Ability to work in a cold/damp environment with water and stand for extended periods.

Nice To Haves

  • Bilingual English / Spanish is helpful but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for maintaining a clean and sanitary environment and maintaining a safe working atmosphere.
  • Responsible for proper cleaning and sanitizing of the facility.
  • Consistently follows all standard operating procedures. This may include disassembling, cleaning, sanitizing, and reassembling parts, or equipment.
  • Responsible for successfully disposing of waste, safe ways of working, and handling chemicals and inventory.
  • Follow all company safety requirements.
  • Follows all safety, environmental, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
  • Ensures that all equipment is in safe and operating status. Ensure that any issues are addressed in a timely manner.
  • Perform other duties as assigned
