One Family.  Purpose StatementSanitation (Group Leader) (Clerk) will supervise and coordinate the activities of sanitation associates, ensuring proper sanitation practices.

Responsibilities

  • The Sanitation Group Leader will oversee sanitation associates and will motivate, mentor, and train on sanitation standards and procedures
  • Inspects equipment ensuring regulatory requirements are met and plant equipment is clean and safe for productions
  • Develops SSOPS and establishes or adjusts work procedures to meet production schedules
  • Inspects premises for unsanitary practices and conditions and directs cleaning of equipment and work areas
  • Conducts sanitation audits and compiles required reports regarding regular inspections, sanitation violations, and steps taken to resolve deficiencies
  • Be able to use chemicals in a safe manner (follow chemical instructions)
  • Interprets company policies to workers and enforces safety regulations
  • Prep all lines for pre-op inspection in a timely manner
  • Analyzes and resolves work problems or assists workers in solving work problems
  • Maintain knowledge, understanding and adherence to safety policies, FDA regulations, GMPs, HACCP, and sanitation rules and regulations, and company policies
  • Responsible for writing work orders for any equipment needing repair
  • Keeping and maintaining the sanitation training matrix and sanitation verification records
  • Assisting other departments as requested in a safe and timely manner.
  • Work safely at all times and report any unsafe conditions or injuries immediately.
  • All other duties, as assigned
  • SSOP and LOTO - Provide guidance on expectations for the year regarding SSOP and LOTO validations.
  • Knowledge of equipment design, hazards, and power sources.
  • Creation of SSOP & LOTO procedures for current/new equipment.
  • Validation of new LOTO procedures to ensure effectiveness.
