Your Role The SAP Subject Matter Expert (SME) will play a key functional role in supporting SAP system upgrades, process alignment, and project execution for enterprise initiatives within a regulated life‑science environment. The SAP SME will collaborate closely with IT, Quality, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and cross‑functional stakeholders to ensure that SAP upgrades, enhancements, or implementations align with operational needs, regulatory expectations, and site‑specific processes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Business, or related field.
  • Minimum 7 years of experience supporting or managing SAP/ERP initiatives in biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, or similarly regulated industries.
  • Strong understanding of cross‑functional business processes (Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Quality, Finance).
  • Experience with SAP modules.
  • Familiarity with validated systems, GxP requirements, and data‑integrity expectations.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment.
  • Strong communication, problem‑solving, and organizational skills.
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
  • No C2C at this time

Responsibilities

  • Assess SAP system changes, regression testing results, and process impacts; update SOPs, work instructions, and training requirements as needed.
  • Validate user roles, security profiles, and overall system/process readiness ahead of upgrades or implementations.
  • Support UAT planning and execution, ensuring accurate test scripts, functional coverage, end‑to‑end scenarios, and boundary‑system integration.
  • Provide business process insights for change management, develop training materials, and deliver SAP functional training to SMEs and end-users.
  • Partner with project leadership to coordinate test resources, readiness activities, and future‑state process documentation.
  • Contribute to issue and risk tracking while ensuring alignment with GxP, quality, and regulatory expectations.
  • Facilitate cross‑functional communication to maintain alignment between IT, Quality, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, and site teams.
