HOW YOU'LL MAKE AN IMPACT Responsible for the coordination and direction of the daily activities of Infusion Scheduling. Further, this person will educate and mentor new hires and assist hospital departments in building and maintaining the resources and the appointment blocks that are available. Performs pre-screening process for procedures where appropriate and as required by Patient Access leadership. Acts as a liaison with physicians, patients, physician office staff and ancillary departments. Demonstrates proficiency in understanding pre-certification requirements. Communicates patient preparation needs and appointment schedules to physician offices. All functions are performed in accordance with the facility’s philosophy, policies, procedures and standards.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Six (6) months of relevant job experience in a medical or healthcare (office or hospital) setting (e.g., patient access, billing, cash collections, insurance, and/or pre-certification requirements).

Nice To Haves

  • Associate degree in medical terminology or health care management.
