Patient Transporter at Providence St. Mary Medical Center in Apple Valley, CA. This position is Full Time and will work <80>-hour, Day shifts. Requirements

• 6 months of Computer experience with Microsoft Office, Microsoft Outlook, Internet Explorer, and health plan websites.

Nice To Haves

• 1 year of Office clerical experience in a hospital or medical office environment.

Responsibilities

• Processes and coordinates requests for Radiology Services between patients, physician offices, IPAs and staff Radiologist.
• Obtains necessary orders, authorizations, pre-certification, CPT and ICD-9 codes for scheduled modalities.
• Communicates procedures, protocols and preps for all exams in each modality.
• Schedules specialized procedures including biopsies, drainages and aspirations.
• Monitors and maintains inventory for all modalities in Imaging Services.
• Orders and maintains inventory for all modalities in Imaging Services.
• Maintains and processes data for Radiologist Peer review and Radiologist proctoring.
• Uploads films and reports onto PACs for Cancer Conference presentation.
• Uploads CDs and digitizes films onto PACs for comparison and Radiologist review.
