About The Position

POSITION SUMMARY: Under limited supervision, the Seasonal Grounds Keeper position is intended to assist in maintaining the grounds and facilities looking their best. This position will be responsible for the outdoor and common areas around the Tribal campus that are utilized on a daily basis. ESSENTIAL DUTIES: Maintain grounds and landscaping for a clean and professional appearance. Clean around various buildings, parking spaces and walkways to ensure the areas remain clear and safe. Take on special planting or landscaping projects as assigned. Perform regular maintenance and minor repairs on lawn care equipment and tools. Follow all safety and hazardous materials practices and procedures. Report any hazards to Manager. Maintain good working relationships and effective communication with employees and departments. ADDITIONAL DUTIES: The Tribe values its commitment to community service and the well-being of its members. In recognition of this, each employee may be expected to perform duties from time to time which may not be related to their regular responsibilities. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate (both written and verbally) with diverse populations in a courteous, helpful, and clearly understood manner.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and use tact and discretion.
  • High school diploma or GED; or one to three months of related experience/training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Must possess a valid Washington State driver’s license and maintain a clean driving record, free of any restrictions that prevent the performance of essential job duties (e.g., ability to drive during all required hours).

Nice To Haves

  • Previous landscaping experience preferred.
