About The Position

The primary function of this position is to staff the 24-hour Security Operations Center (SOC). The SOC handles emergency and non-emergency communications from security staff, hospital staff, law enforcement, visitors, and other emergency services via radio, telephone, computer, email, camera, in-person, or via any other medium. Vital functions of this position include: customer service, multi-line phone management, Computer-aided Dispatch (CAD) documentation, and effective, timely communication. Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Prior security, dispatcher or other relevant experience or education is required.
• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• Ability to work in a fast paced demanding environment.
• Ability to multi-task.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Computer literate.

Nice To Haves

• Computer-aided Dispatch system experience is prefererd.
• Prior dispatch experience in mid-sized department /emergency services, preferred.
• College is preferred.
• ICS training
• TERT certification
• IAHSS Certification
• HAM radio operator Training may be site specific.
