As an Access Control Officer at a busy logistics and distribution location, you will help manage entry points, verify credentials, screen visitors and drivers, and support smooth traffic flow at gates and docks. You will stay visible, document security-related activity, and communicate clearly with team members and site leadership. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license. Requirements
- Have 1+ years of security experience.
- Be at least 21+ years of age.
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
- Control access to the facility by verifying identification, issuing visitor credentials, managing entry and exit logs, and directing drivers, visitors, and associates to the proper check-in areas.
- Monitor access points and security-related systems such as CCTV, alarms, and gate controls, and report irregular activity according to site procedures.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating notifications and documenting events in required reports.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the building, dock areas, parking lots, and perimeter; working environments and conditions may vary by client site.
