As an Access Control Officer at a busy logistics and distribution location, you will help manage site entry, verify credentials, and monitor activity through routine rounds and reporting. This is a driving post, supporting mobile checks and rapid response across the property. Requirements

• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet preferred.
• Have customer service experience preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to site personnel, visitors, and drivers by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Manage access control at entrances, gates, and/or loading areas by verifying identification, authorizations, and shipment or appointment details, and documenting entries and exits.
• Screen and process visitors, contractors, and vendors by issuing and recovering badges, directing them to designated areas, and maintaining accurate visitor and delivery logs.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with site contacts and/or emergency services as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of interior and exterior areas, including parking lots, perimeter points, and loading docks, to help to deter unauthorized access and report hazards or policy concerns.
