About The Position

As a Security Guard - Armed Mobile Patrol Driver in Atlanta, GA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal at a government location as an armed, driving patrol officer, monitoring and patrolling assigned areas to help reduce security-related incidents. You will conduct routine patrols, stay visible, respond to situations, and communicate clearly with staff and visitors while delivering strong customer service. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • Have 3+ years combined law enforcement, military, and/or adult corrections.
  • Be a graduate of a law enforcement or military police training program or equivalent.
  • Be 21+ years of age.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors and staff at a government services location by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities.
  • Conduct armed foot and/or vehicle patrols of interior areas, parking lots, and perimeter routes as directed, helping to identify unusual activity and/or hazards.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with site leadership and/or local law enforcement as needed.
  • Control access at designated posts by monitoring entrances, checking identification and/or visitor authorization, and directing guests to appropriate service areas.
  • Complete incident reports, daily activity logs, and other documentation, and communicate shift updates to supervisors and/or oncoming personnel.
