As a Security Guard - Armed Rover Patrol in Manassas, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal at a government location as a patrol officer supporting day-to-day security-related operations. You will conduct routine foot and/or vehicle patrols, maintain a visible presence that helps to deter incidents, support access control, and document activity with clear communication. This is an armed post requiring an armed guard card or license. Bring integrity and teamwork to a caring, innovative team that is agile and reliable.

Requirements

• Have 1 or more years of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
• Have 1 or more years of security-related experience.
• Have an armed guard card and/or license.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be comfortable using a computer and/or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors and staff by following Allied Universal and site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and post orders, and when appropriate, supporting emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting appropriate personnel and/or public emergency services as directed by site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of government office areas, corridors, entrances, parking areas, and the perimeter, noting and reporting irregular conditions.
• Control access by monitoring entry points, verifying identification and/or credentials when required, directing visitors to proper locations, and assisting with sign-in processes per site policy.
• Complete detailed security-related reports, maintain logs of patrols and incidents, and communicate observations to site management and Allied Universal leadership.
