About The Position

As a Security Guard - Armed Vehicle Patrol Driver in Long Beach, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a commercial real estate location, you will conduct routine patrols and remain highly visible to help deter security-related incidents. This is a driving post, so you will travel between assigned areas, respond to calls for service, and document activity. You will also provide strong customer service, clear communication, and professional presence while supporting a people-first, integrity-driven team culture.

Requirements

• An armed guard card and/or license is required.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and property staff by following Allied Universal procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a commercial real estate location.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or property damage; working environments and conditions may vary by site.
• Monitor access points and observe activity through presence, patrol, and available systems, and report security-related concerns and/or maintenance issues per post orders.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including de-escalation, requesting law enforcement and/or medical assistance, and documenting actions taken.
• Carry and handle authorized duty weapon and related equipment in accordance with licensing requirements, site post orders, and Allied Universal policies, including conducting required checks and maintaining a professional armed presence.
